Streetlight Society - (intro)version

As producers we all enjoy a good crate dig. The anticipation of finding a new sample to chop or a drum break to loop is infectious. We place the needle down and the vinyl hisses and pops, ready for our manipulation. While searching tirelessly for open drum breaks, often times it is the intro section of a track that contains the soul serenading sounds we all desire. When we find that perfect sample at the beginning of a record, time seemingly ceases to exist. (intro)version captures these vibes with a variety of drum loops, perc loops, one shots, and for the first time, 13 instrumental intros featuring Pete Geraci on sax and Gabe Hammer on keys. All of the drum breaks and percussion loops in this pack were recorded live and unquantized on a full drum set. We mixed everything through the Sp-404 to give these sounds their own unique texture while maintaining the sonic qualities of a vinyl record of the 70s….Think imaginative recluse that says no to Friday night parties but yes to Friday night crate digging….We hope these sounds bring out your introverted side, and allow you to enjoy your own company as you scour through samples. After all, they say character is defined most when no one else is looking. Good luck with all your production endeavors! Samples for the People!
