Straight from your parents basement! For this drum pack, Sam custom designed a drum kit with a suitcase and a refinished children’s drum set. The concept grew from a specific scenario to arrive at a gig and look the trumpet player in the eye and smile, as I too could haul all of my equipment into the venue in one trip. The sound of the kit exceeded expectations and has now become a staple in Sam’s studio set-up. The kit ended up being the basis for the sample pack, which went on to include many other drum sounds we have collected over the years. Improvisation guided our recording process, and we mixed these drum samples for an organic, dynamic, unapologetically gritty vibe…Think 80’s skater spending an afternoon in the arcade when they should be in gym class.
This pack comes from a place of honesty and innocence that cannot be replicated. We hope that you can incorporate these sounds into your production workflow when the moment calls for them.
